Why Honda Civic is more loved than Acura Integra in BC!

Surrey Auto Mall - One less headache to find a new or used car's information in Surrey BC Canada

Used Acura and Honda cars for sale in BC versus Canada (Source:  www.Autotrader.ca)

                          Canada           BC         Percentage

Acura MDX         865               97            11%
Acura RDX          417               54            13%
Acura TL             905             108            12%
Acura TSX           387               40            10%
Acura Integra        135               25            18%

Total cars           2709              324            12%
for sale

Looking at these figures above give up two interesting results:

1 Acura MDX, RDX, TL and TSX that are available for sale falls in 10-12% range.
That shows that these vehicles are on sale by almost same percentage of BC sellers compared to    Canadian Sellers. In other words if there are 100 vehicles in Canada for sale, almost 10 to 12          cars from BC for sale.

2 Acura Integra is only one exception in which case if 100 Integras are for sale in Canada, 18 are        available in BC only. No doubt Integra is a small car about the size of Honda Accord and chances    are more students have its possession. It means in BC students prefer this car over others.

Honda Pilot              644             69            11%
Honda Odyssey       1144           173            15%
Honda CRV            1968           199            10%
Honda Accord         2494           284            11%
Honda Civic            7870           689              8%

Total cars              14120         1414            10%
for sale

Interesting:

1 Why sellers of Honda and Acura across Canada versus BC are almost same percentage 10-12%
2 Why regardless of models and makes the percentage of sellers falls in 10-12% category except        Honda Odyssey 15% (more people in BC want to sell it); Acura Integra 18% (more people in BC    want to sell it); whereas only 8% BC Honda Civic owners want to sell it.

It show Honda Civic is more liked by BC Civic owners but at the same time Integra is less liked by BC Integra owners.

Why more Odysseys are for sale in BC? May be some one can explain! Why?

Bentley - British luxury brand confirms its first SUV

Bentley - British luxury brand confirms its first SUV
Bentley has confirmed the production version of its polarising SUV concept will be its first plug-in in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

First revealed at the 2012 Geneva and Beijing motor shows, Bentley’s ungainly EXP 9 F crossover concept attracted attention for all the wrong reasons but has since been confirmed for production by 2016.

Bentley has previously revealed its is considering three powertrain options for its first SUV – the firm’s new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and 6.0-litre W12, plus a V6 plug-in hybrid system – but Bentley chairman and chief executive Wolfgang Schreiber confirmed to motoring.com.au at the Frankfurt show last week that the production version will be the British brand’s first PHEV.

“You know that we use to date two different engines -- the W12 turbocharged engine and V8 turbocharged engine. I expect at least at the beginning we will see exactly those engines in play.

“A hybrid is definitely in development as well, because that supports one part of our DNA -- the performance part as well -- and therefore I'm absolutely sure that will be the first car in the Bentley portfolio which also gets a plug-in hybrid.”

Expect the as-yet-unnamed Bentley SUV to employ the same V6 petrol-electric PHEV system as Porsche’s new Panamera S E-Hybrid, which combines an Audi-sourced supercharged 3.0-litre petrol V6 with a 70kW electric motor and 9.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack to deliver a combined power output is 306kW.

In the 2095kg Panamera PHEV, which consumes a Toyota Prius-beating 3.1L/100km and can run on electrical power for up to 36km at speeds of up to 135kn/h, that’s enough to hit 100km/h in 5.5 seconds on its way to a 270km/h top speed.

Dr Schreiber said the production model -- which will create 1000 job at Crewe, where Bentley will invest £800 million ($A1.3b) over the next three years -- will look significantly different to the striking EXP 9 F concept.

“No, it will look different,” he said. “It will look like a real Bentley. Because the concept showed us that the feedback wasn't very positive from the customers but also from you and your colleagues.

“And now we have completely redesigned the style -- exterior and interior as well. And now it's much, much closer to a new Bentley... certainly it looks sportier. But on the other hand, it looks powerful as an SUV too. I think you will love it.”

The Bentley Motors global chief said the historic UK brand’s fourth model line, which it touts as the world’s most luxurious SUV -- would bear a name in keeping with other Bentley models.

“Now we are first of all focussed on development, so that car will enter the market in 2016, and therefore we still have a lot of time to think about the name. And I am absolutely sure the rich history of Bentley will guide us to a name and we will come up as soon as we think it would make sense and to let you know what name it will have.”

Dr Schreiber said the EXP project is predicated on 3000 sales per year, but expects to sell more. That means the SUV will be one of Bentley’s most popular models, accounting for at least 35 per cent of total sales. Bentley sold 4279 cars in the first half of this year – up nine per cent on the same period in 2012.

“Numbers will not be limited. Our calculation numbers are 3000 per year, on average. That's what our business model is based on. My personal impression is that there's room for more.”

Russia and the Middle East are expected to be its biggest markets, although Bentley has also forecast strong interest in Australia, which could even host the Asia-Pacific regional launch in 2015.

“Australia is also a growing market for us. And the SUV I also hope will be very successful in Australia.”

Bentley has sold 76 vehicles in Australia to August this year – up more than 70 per cent on last year.

New or used car's information in Surrey BC Canada

Safety and Savings

Surrey Auto Mall - One less headache to find a new or used car's information in Surrey BC

Safety versus. Savings
There was a time Canadian and Americans used to take pride. Driving a big muscle and work cars. That time was time of enjoying a big cars without much worry about Gas stations
.

But that is the story of past. People used to make good money with labor jobs. Now a days jobs are subject to higher education and skills. And education is expensive. So before even a young Canadian enters a workforce he/she is already in debt to banks and Canadian Government.

So a young Canadian is more cautious about his/her budget than anybody.

Car is a necessary gadget and a requisite. To a new job. Transit services are limited in nature in Canada. After having a burden of student loans now comes another burden for a young new worker. He/she needs a car to commute to work. Since a young Canadian is new in workforce chances are there is no credit history. In that banks don't lend money to young. Canadian. New immigrants regardless of their age are in the same boat.
Both looks for a cheap car, which is cheap on gas, cheap on repair, cheap on monthly payment and cheap on car insurance.
Most end up buying a used car without monthly payments. Some gets it free from parents or relatives and some pay
A little cash for it as low as 500 dollars and upto 5000 dollars depending upon their savings.
Two types of cars are available for these buyers. Either a small tiny 3or 4 cylinder car already with over 200000km on it or a big V8 gas guzzlers. Both are prime customers for car repair shops for big bills on cheap cars.
Those who have big cars almost pay all their budget on gas station and those who have small tiny cars do save on gas bills but end up paying heavy medical bills for whip lashes and other similar car accident injuries along with no work.
Big cars are heavy and under a fender bender conditions much safer. For the driver and other occupants whereas tiny cars are so lght that whiplash and back injuries from these cars are horrendous. And deadly. Most drivers of tiny cars like firefly, echo, fit, civic, sentra, corolla etc suffer from muscle pains and back pains apart from other physical and mental injuries. So there is a give and take situations.  Light car cheap on gas but heavy on medical bills and injuries. On other hand heavy cars are heavy on gas bill but much safer compared to tiny cars.
